Natural Resources Canada (NRCan) promotes and administers the ENERGY STAR^® Canada and EnerGuide programs for products and is responsible for updating, implementing, and enforcing compliance with Canada’s Energy Efficiency Regulations.

If you or your organization are an ENERGY STAR Canada Participant, an energy efficiency stakeholder, an industry practitioner, or an interested member of the public, subscribe to this service to receive email updates about energy-efficient product programs and regulations, important notices, and information based on your interests.

Our service provider, Microsoft 365, will send NRCan’s emails to you, the subscriber. Once you complete the subscription information form and click Submit, you allow NRCan to share the information with Microsoft 365, and its third parties, to send you updates on energy efficiency for products.

Microsoft 365 will generate a contact list with the information on the form. Microsoft 365, or its third parties, host the contact list on their servers located inMicrosoft Azure data centres in Toronto and Quebec City, and as such are subject to provincial laws.

NRCan is committed to protecting the privacy rights of individuals and safeguarding the personal information under its control. Your personal information is collected under the authority of section 21 of the Energy Efficiency Act and will be used for the purposes of sending you updates on energy efficiency products. Your personal information is protected in accordance with the Privacy Act and will only be shared with other government institutions with your consent. The collection, use, disclosure and retention of your personal information is described in Personal Information Banks PPU-090, PSU 914 and PSU 938.

You have the right to the correction of, access to, and protection of your personal information under the Privacy Act.
